ValDeal received Hungarian governmental grant from the National Office for Research and Technology for a pilot project to develop an integrated innovation management model. The innovation management model was based on international know-how and was adapted and developed for the Hungarian, Central European circumstances. With this new model ValDeal is able to provide a realistic view on the market potential and market value of early stage scientific projects and inventions coming from universities, public research institutes, innovative companies and individual inventors.

ValDeal looked for professional partners, having long term experience in innovation management to develop a pilot model, unprecedented in Hungary. ValDeal worked in close cooperation with IC² Institute of University of Texas at Austin (www.icc.utexas.edu), having project evaluation and business development references not only in the US, but also in Central and Eastern Europe. An other strategic partner was INNO AG, based in Karlsruhe in Germany (www.inno-group.com) who have outstanding experience in commercialization of academically generated intellectual property. The model incorporates all aspects of technology transfer from scientific research to innovation commercialization.

The implementation of the pilot project was effected between December 2006 and November 2010.
